"STAGES" KEY:

CONCEPTUAL: This is a pitch, it may even have some scenes written, but it does not have a fully fleshed out outline.

DRAFTING: This has a synopsis. Scenes have been written, but it’s still very early in development. The scenes may have been drafted out of order and do not form a full act.

PROPOSAL: This has a synopsis. It would be “query ready” with a pitch and first 50 pages.

FULL MANUSCRIPT: This is a completemanuscript that has been through multiple revisions.

At least, that was the plan before she met her handsome new coworker and learned of his whole “reclaim my life after the painful disintegration of my relationship with my childhood sweetheart” quest. As she helps him check off Fuck-It List items, Lucy must decide what matters more to her: showing her family and friends that she’s a responsible adult, or the stranger who somehow already sees exactly who she is.

  • After they’re informed that a “THIS IS NOT A DRILL: INCOMING BALLISTIC MISSILE. TAKE SHELTER.” alert was, in fact, a drill, two best friends spend the remainder of spring break doing a The World Isn’t Ending! road trip—and deciding if the secret item on both of their bucket lists (talking about their real feelings) is worth the risk. Because the world might not have ended but, if they ruin this friendship, their worlds will.

  • Cece TV is a mixed media/epistolary reimagining of the Truman Show that follows Cecelia Fairbanks as her picture-perfect life falls apart, exposing a truth that’s stranger than fiction and the lengths to which people go for good TV.

    Good Spirits (Borison) x Dead Romantics (Poston)

  • Ghost Town, New Jersey is a place where people go to die—literally. Anyone who passes away in Ghost Town returns as a spirit, still able to interact (and fall in love) with the living.

    And, because half the city’s population can’t ascend stairs or flip light switches, Ghost Town is hiring community planners to make the area more accessible for its disembodied residents. Ghostbusters need not apply!

  • The Invisible Life of Addie Larue x Early Departures

    Felix the Unforgettable is a MIDDLE GRADE (or ADULT with some reworking) fantasy.

    I think this could especially appeal to young boys who don’t like to read and fantasy lovers of all ages.

  • Like all the men in his family, Felix is cursed to be forgotten on his eleventh birthday. His twin sister, Ivy, is desperate to remember him. Together, they venture into the dangerous and wild Memorealm, hoping to bargain with The Recollector, the merciless God of Memories.

    It was originally drafted as a graphic novel. I’m more interested, now, in presenting it as a traditional middle grade, but I haven’t converted the draft to a novel format yet.

    The dismissive prince who technically owns the deed to Magdalena’s life supposedly wants nothing to do with her. The princess he’s betrothed to, however…
